In the garden like at home
Also in the area Tortona-Navigli in
Milan we find Al Fresco
(http://www. alfrescomilano.it/il-luogo), arestaurant
born from the transformation of an
industrial space to showroom of
outdoor furniture (Dedon), a local
flavor French. Both the interior and
the large garden is manicured and the
high sense of perceived comfort is also
due to the furnishings of the Company
Gardens and the care of green garden
designed by the designer Emanuele
Bortolotti (AG & P study
www.agep.it). The conservatory and the windows
are typical of buildings in Milan make
this very charming Italian bistro in the
evening.
The floor lamps, punctual on tables
remind of the classic bells interiors.
This particular highlights the
strong relationship with a domestic
environment, and shifts the mood from
the garden to the house heating up
the entire area in a suggestive manner.
We recognize between the furnishings
in the home of garden designed by
Dedon Nestrest D.Pouzet and F. Frety
(www.dedon.de/it), which stands out
among the colorful plants, wicker
furniture in classic and retro tables and
chairs in iron. Striking element in the
large fireplace located in the center
of a clearing, which emphasizes and
enhances the user-friendliness, thanks
to a powerful element, such as the fire.
The quality of the food is guaranteed
thanks to the Japanese Chef Kokichi
Takahashi (a curriculum experience
with Carlo Cracco and Andrea Berton)
that serves gourmet Mediterranean
cuisine and advice from Negrini and
Pisani.
FOR EXTERNAL, BUT NOT ONLY
THAT.
Fieldfurniture and Sit & Heat:
An interesting project is the brainchild
of the Studio Bomm and produced by
‘Fieldfurniture and Sit & Heat’ which
together are rethinking the outdoor
seating arrangements as unique sets
consist of bench and table. The idea
is to create a flexible system that can
adapt to different shopping areas and
entertainment gastronomy. Return to the
trend of studying the elements that can
adapt and trespassing the boundaries
of the classic table and sitting outside.
This session consists of a single modular
unit and comes from sustainable reuse
of pallets from the warehouse. The
wooden seat is formed by different
elements in a unified manner nourish
different functions: the benches table 4
seats create an outdoor room; combined
with modules cooking technicians
creates, however, a real restaurant
free flow portable. This system was
also used for events pop up bars and
restaurants creating temporary in the
open. Fieldfurniture with Sit & Heat
resolves the issue of seasonality in the
sessions by inserting a comfortable
heating system to fight the intermediate
seasons.
(www.field-furniture.com).Extremis:
During the last edition of the Salone
del Mobile, Extremis
(www.extremis. be) presented Marina: a long table that
runs through different environments:
garden, dining room and office. From
one context to another is transformed to
very flexible outdoor furniture complete
with benches, a dining table and office.
The modular table stretches depending
on the environment and space. Also
interesting is the table with umbrella
Abachus. The idea is to rethink the
classical model in a contemporary
version for a quick drink and informal.
The rubber dumbbells help to stand as
a support. The version of Gargantua
appears instead in the more classic
version with a sitting bench. Items that
can be placed in open spaces for wine
and sandwich bar. Picnik is instead a
more urban type, created from a single
piece cut and shaped, space saving,
which maintains stations in order and
on the fixed-defined layout.
Paola Lenti:
In the 2014 collection outdoor of
Paola Lenti, chairs, beds, platforms,
ottomans, armchairs, chairs and tables,
but also to make umbrellas and shade.
The constant research of Lenti style is
the quality of materials, durable and
resistant. The materials are declined
in colorful and sophisticated textures.
Interesting is the system Resort and
Bistro, style and functionality with
a combination of colors and designs
and vaguely vintage Hipster. Another
interesting system is the coverage
Pavillion consists of a “roof” hexagonal
panels and side support. Thanks to
joints for the interlocking, Pavillion can
be modulated depending of the need
increasing its entirety and consequently
the surface. This factor also follows the
trends of contemporary design without
neglecting the technical and functional
aspects.
(Www.paolalenti.it/home/)Dedon:
SwingMe by Daniel Pouzet is a cozy and
elegant nest, formed by four strands
of woven fibers, each with a different
shape, texture and color. The result is
a spacious relaxation area where you
can enjoy the sun, in the garden with
a cocktail or a cup of tea. Phaedrus is
another session interesting and easy to
be able to enter in open spaces. It allows
you to swing back and forth as you
wish, using your legs and feet to control
movement. It’s lightweight, portable,
stackable and extremely comfortable.

Serralunga:
We are talking about a lamp with
delicate proportions, with a high
material value and character.
Three wooden legs, ready for the
outdoors, creating an iconic shape that
will warm up any space with a perfect
lighting. Babà is the 2014 news of
Serralunga, an outdoor lamp that has
the mood warm interior; perhaps this is
its strength.
Lounguette armchair is a chair that
accompanies this lamp in the forms
and materials; this chair also is soft and
comfortable.
