Who are your main clients today?
We turn mainly to the
Ho.Re.Ca.
sector, therefore hotels, restaurants,
pizzerias and bars. We supply over
3,500 kitchens in the provinces of
Verbania, Novara, Vercelli, Biella,
Varese, Pavia, Milan, Como, Turin,
Monza Brianza and Alessandria. Ours
is, in short, a situation characterised
by a strong rooting to the territory.
How do you win their trust?
Our strength lies mainly in the ability
to guarantee a reliable and punctual
service, attentive to the needs of
restaurateurs. The company is open
the entire working week, including
Saturday morning. We count on a
sales network of 40 agents, supervised
by 7 coordinators, who weekly
visit the served premises and who
provide customers a consolidated
professionalism, thus offering an
important consulting support: we
dedicate, in fact, many hours to the
training of our sales staff, thereby
obtaining an important competitive
advantage. But not only that. The
calling to be innovative, the attention
to changes in catering needs and a
focus on the future, capitalising on
the present and the past, have always
been the strategic values that have
distinguished Globalpesca S.p.A.
and they guarantee appreciation. By
leveraging on these values, for over a

Other jewels in the crown?
Without a doubt, the breadth and depth
of the range. That of Globalpesca S.p.A.
is made up of selected articles: many
important national and international
brands are flanked by sought-after
excellences of small producers
and, always by territorial vocation,
important range placements are
occupied by local producers.
We are therefore able to offer to
those who choose a wide range of
products. Among these, those relative
to the fresh fish department, which
represents the most important aspect
of the range of Globalpesca S.p.A.:
in this segment, which even today is
still our flagship, we carry over 350
products assuring daily supplies and
the possibility of carrying out any
processing. Our assortment is made
up of more than 400 products of
selected fresh meat, both Italian and
overseas, over 200 variants of salami
and as many desserts. However the
list also includes frozen products
(more than 1,200 products between
fish, meat, vegetables, appetizers,
pasta dishes, baked goods), packaged
food (1,000 choices between pasta,
rice, pulses, relishes, sauces, spices,
condiments and deli) and cheeses
(300 different types including more
than 200 Italian excellences). Without
counting the non-food assortment
with over 80 types of products and
accessories for cleaning and cooking.
How is Globalpesca organised?
The company structure, the
warehouses, the staff, the
distribution...
We have 10,000 square meters of
covered space used as warehouses
for the storage and picking of goods,
a building used as offices and an
acclimatised building dedicated
to fish storage. The process of
preparing the shipments is managed
in a professional and cutting-edge
way thanks to Smarter#1, a fully
automated control system for the
handling and shipment of goods. We
are thus able to always control stock
rotation, ensure the maintenance
of the cold chain and significantly
reduce delivery errors. This is also
a service for our customers. In
addition, the deliveries are carried
out exclusively by refrigerated
means, all in accordance with
legislation, modern and equipped for
the transport at dual temperature,
conducted by professional drivers
employed directly by the company.
The fleet has 35 trucks that run over
1 million km per year, making more
than 220,000 deliveries. Of course,
none of this would be possible
without the people: our employees,
over 100 of them, all committed and
dedicated to the company, are part of
the success of Globalpesca S.p.A.
What motivation has driven
Globalpesca S.p.A. to join
Cooperativa Italiana Catering?
In fact, Globalpesca. was one of the
founding members of C.I.C.; then
those paths, for strategic reasons,
divided. Until recently the possibility
of a return has come about and,
aware of the fact that the C.I.C.
group is both an important and
qualified player on the national
and international market, we gladly
decided to re-join.
Thanks to the entry into the
cooperative, your customers can
now benefit from a new range of
C.I.C. branded products...
The Qualitaly brand and other group
brands are recognised on the market
and identified as winners in the
quality-price ratio. The possibility to
enrich our selection with the products
of the cooperative will do nothing
other than to represent a positive
element for Globalpesca S.p.A. If valid
products are offered, the breadth
of the range can only increase the
value of the product categories and
certainly not give space to the risk of
overlap or the cannibalisation of the
brands already carried in the range.
